Funny story. (goddamnit)
Woke up at eight! Yay! For the first time in forever I'm up before noon!
I sit down and grab my to do list and start making the calls I needed to do -- call unemployment about a problem, call my doctor about a prescription issue -- and both offices are closed.
So it's just about nine am and I'm wide awake and almost everything I need to do I cannot (go to the post office, etc etc)
Oh irony. What a little bitch.

- Janice Brabaw is the author of Universe, Disturbed, her first collection of poetry that draws directly from her teenage and college journals when she suffered from debilitating depression. She is also the author of And Again: A Memoir of a Life Disordered which chronicles her struggles with depression and borderline personality disorder. And Again is slated to be released in 2009 and Universe, Disturbed is currently in it's second edition. Janice Brabaw lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
