Respectable

I figure I probably can't stay here too much longer
It's hard to explain to the respectable people
That I like to spend my days inside in my underwear
Burning my retinas with my laptop and scheming
I'm going to wear this spot on this rug bare
It's hard to explain to the respectable people
That this is how I work, this is how I create
And that despite my cat-like manners and
my cat-like disposition of purr and rub then hide
I really am getting somewhere in my life
By sitting on my fat ass
and napping in the pools of sun.
